Farewell to Ms. Tanya and Ms. Ingrid

As our school year ends, we acknowledge the passing of seasons and think upon the many beginnings and endings we experience as a community here at CYM. While we embrace these changes, we honor the contributions of our faculty that make our community so very special. It is with admiration that we recognize those members of our faculty who will not be joining us next Fall, Ms. Tanya Satteson and Ms. Ingrid Beute.

Tanya with students Bernardo and Nicholas, and Ms. Michelle

Violinist Tanya Satteson leaves CYM to spend more time with her family and to further her freelance career.  Tanya joined CYM in the fall of 2006 and has made a big mark at CYM as teacher and performer.  Her time at CYM was marked by her attention to detail, thorough approach and care for all her students.  Tanya will be quite missed, but we wish her, Mylan and Jason the best of luck!

Ms. Ingrid at Give Thanks Community Concert

Pianist Ingrid Beute will be leaving CYM to finish her Master of Arts in Counseling and Development at Slippery Rock University.  Next year she will be working at internships at Grove City College Office of Multicultural Affairs as well as the Grove City College Music Department and while  working as Career Counselor for Slippery Rock University.  Ingrid joined CYM in the winter of 2011 and quickly became a beloved teacher and sought after accompanist.  We have been lucky to have her help at many a book recital, community concert and solo recital during her tenure.  We will miss Ingrid quite a bit, and we wish her and her family the best of luck as she finishes her degree.

We have had the joy and benefit of working so closely with each of these ladies; forming friendships and collegial relationships over their time here. Their tenures here will be held in our memory as impactful, meaningful contributions to the CYM community and to the members of the piano and violin student body. Thank you both for your care and efforts as outstanding educators and people. You will be missed.
