Great time at the Greater Pittsburgh Suzuki Institute!

Great time at the Greater Pittsburgh Suzuki Institute!

The Center for Young Musicians was well represented at the Greater Pittsburgh Suzuki Institute, July 29-August 5. Many CYM students, parents and teachers spent a rewarding week in master classes, group classes, parent seminars, teacher training and fun electives. CYM was represented by guitarist Mark Marston and violinist Leah Givelber, who served as instructors for Suzuki workshops, as well as attended by faculty members Simmi Tripathi, Ryan Ash, Rochelle Agnew, and Danny Rectenwald.

Highlights included connecting with old and new friends from around Pittsburgh and elsewhere in the country, learning to walk on stilts in Circus Arts class, and a jazzy rendition of “Go Tell Aunt Rhody” performed by CYM guitarists. It was a great way to recommit to music education. Sound good? Join us there next year!
